What are my options?

Hello,

I am currently in my sophomore year looking to transfer to a four year university from Northern Virginia Community College. The two universities I am hoping to choose between is George Mason University or The University of Virginia
.
I am studying mechanical engineering with a 3.8 GPA. The biggest problem is … I will have 29 transferable credits by the end of Spring… I prefer not to explain why. I will have 45 credits by the end of the summer though.

What can I do now to maximize my chances of a successful transfer? What are my options? Waiting another year is a last resort.

Thank you very much in advance.

Don’t you have guaranteed admission as a NOVA CC student?

I do not as I am following this guide https://admissions.gmu.edu/TransferGuide/?program=mechengr_bs . Doing guaranteed admission now would take so much longer.

Sorry for the late reply.
