<p>Hi, I need help on choosing some good safe schools for me to apply to. For now, my top choice is definetly MIT and my ultimate safety school is Rutgers (which I can pretty much get a full scholarship to). </p>
<p>Here are my details:</p>
<p>Intended Major: Engineering, maybe Architecture, not set. </p>
<p>Ethnicity: Asian Male (immigrated here when I was 7)</p>
<p>Class Rank: 3 out of 311 in a relatively competitive New Jersey school.</p>
<p>GPA: 4.34 weighted (not sure on unweighted).</p>
<p>SAT: 740 Math 720 Reading 770 Writing</p>
<p>SAT II's: 800 Math ii, 760 U.S. History, 690 Chemistry, 790 Chinese</p>
<p>Community Service: 30 hours teaching English in China. 50 hours at the local Library.</p>
<p>AP Classes: AP Chem and Ap History Junior year (got a 3 and 4). AP Art, AP Physics, AP English, AP Gov/Politics, AP Biology, AP Calculus BC this year.</p>
<p>Awards/Talents:
Art: planning to send a portfolio, recently won 1st place in a regional contest with over 100 pieces of artwork.
Math: Won several in-school math contests.
Essays: Won several regional and in-school essay contests.
Science: Completed orginal Biological research project sophmore year, won third place in a state science competition.
(I play the piano and clarinet)<----didn't win anything or anything special tho</p>

<p>For my essays I'm going to write deeply about my personal experiences, maybe about my transition after immigrating here at 7. I'm not too worried about my recommendation letters. I'm pretty close to both of the teachers I'm getting recommendations from. And I'm also going to do interviews with as many schools as possible so they'll know me personally.</p>
<p>Basically, I'm searching for good safety schools...Here's my list right now:</p>
<p>MIT, Cornell, UPenn,--------------Blank Spot--------------------Rutgers. </p>
<p>BTW, I'm not doing ED to any school. </p>
