So essentially you need to raise your SAT pretty significantly to get automatic admissions to some of these schools. If you’re outside of the auto admit range it will be much more difficult to get admitted. Also take note that auto admissions don’t mean you get whatever major you want. If you want to major in something that’s more competitive, like engineering or business, you’ll likely need to score significantly higher than the automatic admission requires. If you can’t secure the requisite SAT score, it would probably be best to attend a local CC and try to transfer to one of these schools. If you do that, just focus on getting the best grades you can at the CC, since none of these schools require your high school transcripts or SAT/ACT scores if you’re applying as a transfer.
