<p>i applied to cal poly Pomona, cal state long beach, and cal state Fullerton
i don’t think i can get into cal poly SLO
also is cal poly Pomona have lots of connections with companies for like internship ?
is cal poly pomona a good college for computer science or maybe long beach?
if i get both accepted, which one should i choose?
also my income level is pretty low, do i get full aids to go to cal poly pomona?
what is the avg amount people get for aids or grants?
is prop 30 doesn’t pass, how is it going to affect the acceptance rate and the aids and grants?
for info i am senior in high school and very anxious
and for my csu gpa is 3.52 and act is 20
im going to take another act in dec (my goal is 25-27)
what are my chances?
and what are tips for getting higher score in act ?
thanks to those who reply :)</p>
<p>I don’t believe CS is impacted at Pomona, but it would still be a better choice than LB or Fullerton if you can get in. Have you tried taking the SAT? An 1,100/1600 with a 3.5 should get you in.</p>
<p>For me i think ACT is better, i didn’t try SAT though
but do you know what ACT score ?
and do you know anything about internships? (paid)
does cal poly Pomona have connections?
what are good cal state that i can get in and has good computer science program ?</p>
<p>thanks for replying :)</p>
<p>Isn’t an ACT of 20 similar to a 1500 (out of 2400) on the SAT? The average of the U.S. HS students? </p>
<p>I know nothing about the financial aid system for anyone but myself, so can’t help you there. </p>
<p>Here’s something I found that happened two years ago: [Cal</a> Poly Pomona Receives Microsoft ‘Golden Ticket’ | PolyCentric | Cal Poly Pomona](<a href=“http://polycentric.csupomona.edu/news_stories/2010/07/microsoft-golden-ticket.html]Cal”>http://polycentric.csupomona.edu/news_stories/2010/07/microsoft-golden-ticket.html)</p>
<p>I’d say you should take the SAT…it would give us a better idea. </p>
<p>I’d go with Cal Poly Pomona over all other Cal States except Cal Poly SLO. Cal Poly schools do have a good reputation with industry.</p>
<p>thanks again
i am pretty much decided to go to cal poly pomona if i get in
how hard is it to transfer from cal poly pomona to cal poly slo?
is there tips on getting higher act score ?</p>
<p>You’re better off going to a community college if you plan to transfer.</p>
<p>I don’t have any tips for taking the ACT. I’ve only taken the SAT.</p>
<p>A 20 on the ACT is about a 900 on the SAT.</p>
<p>[CSUMentor</a> - Plan for College - High School Students - Eligibility Index - California Residents](<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>GPA Calculator | CSU)</p>
<p>The average SAT score for Cal Poly Pomona is about 1060, but more like 1100 for higher demand majors. I would say you need to get your scores up, either SAT or ACT. Try them both and see which one you’re better at.</p>
