What are requirements/ what are my chances of getting into UBC Vancouver Science?

I am currently about to be a senior in high school in Nevada and was interested in applying to go to UBC Vancouver for the Faculty of Science. I am a Canadian citizen so it would be alot cheaper than going to a school in the US. I went to visit Vancouver for my first time in the summer and absolutely fell in love with the city and university. I was wondering what the average/ requirements are for the SAT and ACT? I couldn’t find anything about that on their website. I currently have a 22 + 9 essay on the ACT and a 1260 on the SAT. I am planning on taking as many ACT’s and SAT’s as I can before the March 15 deadline to submit papers for the application. I am not worried about my GPA since it is a 3.92 unweighted 4.2 weighted. What are good scores that would gurantee me in basically? Or should I even worry about the SAT or ACT, considering my high gpa? My senior course load is Pre-Calc AB Honors, English 12, US Goverment Honors, Physics, and Anantomy Honors. I have already met the science faculty class requirements so far, with all A’s (I’ve only gotten 2 B’s and that was in online physical education one semester i honestly don’t even know how and in one semester of Algebra I since the teacher moved and we were stuck with a sub the second semester of the year).

It’s probably worth calling admissions to get a direct answer from them. Your grades are good but your test scores are not and you really need to get those up quickly. Since you are going to be a senior you have limited time to get your test scores where they need to be - pick your best test (SAT or ACT - clearly SAT given your current scores) and immerse yourself in test prep by taking practice tests and getting tutoring or anything necessary to get your score up between now and the cutoff times for most universities on your overall list (probably Nov/Dec). Your SAT/ACT is by FAR your #1 priority. Try to get your scores into the 1350+ range for SAT, or 30+ range for ACT to be competitive at this type of school. Great grades - good luck you can do it.

Your GPA is great. You need to work on getting your SAT (or ACT) up. Preparation classes and tutoring can help a lot.

Also, you might want to consider Simon Fraser University and also the University of Victoria as backups. If I were you I would apply to UBC and both of these other very good schools in British Columbia. Since you are a Canadian citizen, they will all cost about the same (by US standards, very little).

Your GPA is fine, although having A+'s will help. However, you will really want to bring your SAT scores up. For Science, 1400 or so for SAT (or 30 for ACT) is competitive. Seems quite strict for Science, so having a 1500 or so for SAT (or 33 for ACT) should make UBC Science a safety.

Also, focus on only the SAT or the ACT in lieu of taking both of them. SAT is harder but gives more time, and it weighs the math section more heavily.
