Other than the obvious (Carnegie Mellon and Cornell), what are other schools that have good computer science and computer engineering programs?

Uiuc…

Oh I forgot to say in the Northeast…

For CS:

MA - Harvard, MIT, UMass-Amherst
PA - UPenn, Penn State
NY - U Rochester, Columbia
RI - Brown
CT - Yale
NJ - Princeton, Rutgers

Some of these are underrated in grad program rankings, but they’re all pretty good for CS - all but Rutgers and Penn State are in the top 20.

Of those, the ones with strong computer engineering (whether it’s offered as a major or not) would be MIT, Princeton, Penn, CMU, Cornell, and probably some of the others, whose computer engineering I haven’t checked out.

"Nationality: Hispanic
Gender: Male
Major: Comp Sci/Engineering

GPA: 3.42 (UW) / 3.53 (W)
ACT: 32"

It would help to make suggestions with his information.

@phantasmagoric Thanks a lot!

Thanks SLUMOM, that probably would help…

For computer science:

[Computer Science College Rankings](Computer Science College Rankings)

So schools in the northeast include the obvious (MIT, CM) as well as Cornell, Tufts, Columbia, etc.

[Stevens Institute of Technology: Undergraduate Admissions: Academics / Research: Engineering](http://www.stevens.edu/sit/admissions/academics/engineering.cfm)

Stevens in New Jersey has both those majors, maybe too close to home for you.

Yeah Stevens is a little too close lol
