Like wearing lanyards all the time.

I’ve never once seen anyone do that in college.

I’ve seen a lot of freshmen pull all-nighters to study for tests. It’s really not a good habit to get into, nor does it particularly help.

traveling in packs (e.g. groups of 10+) to meals/parties in particular.

Hey, I’m a senior and I wear a lanyard for my student ID because otherwise I can easily misplace it (I don’t put it in my wallet because I don’t carry my wallet with me to school), and I need my student ID to ride on the student-run buses for free (I’m not paying $300+ for a parking permit). :/

I barely see any people at my school wearing lanyards, freshmen or otherwise.

Freshmen wear lanyards at the beginning of the year but start to figure it out later…

Agree about the lanyard thing.

This is a really specific thing, but at the beginning of the year, I hate how freshman are so desperate to party. They get in their skankiest attire and ■■■■■ around looking for the cool place to be not knowing that the cool thing to do is to get to know people first.

Carrying University-branded folders they usually get from things like orientations.

Most annoying freshman habit? Being under the impression that college is like high school where there are “annoying freshman habits”.

^ lol.

I work with a lot of freshmen at my job (my university’s writing center), and I don’t really see anything strikingly annoying about them. I mean, I was a freshman last year, and I totally wore my lanyard for a while because I was afraid to lose my room key, but when I see freshmen wearing them now, I don’t care. Would you rather they lose their key and have to rush in to housing with complete panic? I wouldn’t. (been there, done that. Ugh)

They’re young, they’re new on campus, and if anything, some of them are really eager to succeed, which is actually kind of endearing. Anyone who wants to do well on a paper and learn some better writing tips is “cool” in my book. I don’t judge them by their class standing.

Freshmen travel is herds.

You can hear them coming.

^ Yes. That’s the only thing I can think of. Lanyards are not annoying and too common.

But yeah, they travel together and are really hyper about everything. It’s kinda cute.

Go to store and pay for folder vs. use free folder that’s handed to you? I’m with the freshmen on this one, going on three years with my orientation folder aw yeah.

People wear ID? Lol???

Seriously I don’t notice any different here except for people in large groups and that’s about it really.

Don’t be the person who posts a ton on your class’s facebook page if you have one. That’s super annoying.
