What are some easy colleges i could get into?

What are some decent colleges that i can get into at my level?

Not good of course, not okay.

GPA: 3.4 (without any APs, only one honor)
SAT: 1550
25 hours - community service
Secretary and Publicity for club position
No sports
Just completed all the graduation requirements.

Depending on your state, there is probably a state university that will accept you. And community college is always an option.

Look at the US news ranking list. You can for sure get into some state schools…you should also look at their"A schools for B students" list. Or look at tier 2-3 schools.

You are average in your scores. Not below average. Your GPA isn’t awesome but it isn’t bad either. I would say try taking the ACT /SAT again though.

I agree w/ ucbalumnus, you’re not bad. Apply to all of your state schools and retake the SATs (better superscore). If anything, do well in Community College and transfer. Best of luck!

Is your SAT out of 1600 or out of 2400?

Your school’s counselling office is your best resource. They will have lots of experience with people at your exact achievement level and the best path for success.

Do you think he would be looking for easy colleges if his CR and M scores alone added up to 1550?

Well, the 3.4 GPA is difficult to link with a 1550/1600 SAT score.

How much will your parents pay?

Your budget will most likely determine where you should apply.

If you’re SAT is a 1550/2400 then the schools that will accept you are not likely going to give you much aid…so if your parents will pay, then great!

From another thread…
Are you an int’l student or a green card or citizen?

Why are you being asked to take TOEFL? Are you in another country?

First, I’ll answer your question by saying that its 1550/2400 not 1550/1600, cuz many people are saying that. Secondly, I’m asked to take the TOEFL, cuz although i’ve lived in United States, I am deciding to study abroad in my home country. Last but not least, I’m a naturalized U.S. citizen. and we have no budget problem. so that’s good.

TOEFL ibt is so hard though… In reading, I usually get about 21/30 but i need 26/30 or something like that. The passages are super easy, but the questions are weird…
Even for speaking, i think they want it in a certain way.
