What are some firms that Recruit from BU?

<p>Does anyone know what kinds of Consulting and IBanking firms recruit from BU? Any top ones?</p>

<p>Great question, I apologize for the delayed response. Basically at BU we do not have an of the bulge bracket banks (Citi, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, UBS, Deutsche Bank, etc). We are a semi-target for HSBC and there have occasionally been Goldman Sachs postings on the Careerlink and a few info sessions but that’s about it. Instead we have Duff & Phelps, GE FMP, Target (yes the retail store), and Big 4 firms (accounting, tax, and advisory services) where many finance concentrators end up with placements from the career center. Unless you have extensive connections at a bulge bracket or can network aggressively and effectively don’t count on landing a bulge bracket job from BU. </p>

<p>As for consulting, like I said Big 4 recruits heavily here for all lines of service including advisory. Accenture also recruits. To the best of my knowledge Bain, McKinsey, and Boston Consulting Group do not come on campus. Again, if you goal is to work for one of those firms try and identify their target schools or come with connections AND network aggressively from day one.</p>

<p>If you want to end up at one of those firms, please don’t make the same mistake I did and attend BU. You’d be much better served at NYU or other target schools.</p>
