Good list. I would remove UVA and put in Cornell, Dartmouth or Penn. Out of state is hard for UVA you have a better shot at an Ivy.

You need some good upper midrange choices and that could be Bucknell or Lehigh or Villanova.

You need a real safety and that would be TCNJ, which is a top business program in our area and gaining national attention. The campus is also very nice, improving every year.

Use your ACT score.

I would add Drexel and/or Temple to the list. They are probably safeties for you, more affordable than NYU, and both have very good business programs.

@woogzmama

TCNJ would cost this student about $15k a year for what is becoming a top national program.

Thanks for the input @woogzmama and @BatesParent2019. I do realize I need to add some safeties to the list and I thought Patriot League schools like Lehigh, Lafayette and Bucknell and some schools like Miami (Fl), George Washington would be good . I visited Villanova and I didn’t like the campus that much.

Also @BatesParent2019 I didn’t realize TCNJ is that cheap for in state students. That’s a great option for students from New Jersey.

Lehigh, Bucknell, Lafayette and Villanova are very high probables but not true safeties.

For you, no doubt you would get the big TCNJ merit award. The B School at TCNJ is being talked about now as the new rival to NYU in the area. The campus is coming along nicely and by fall Campus Town will be open.

It is an insurance policy for you.

Temple is an excellent suggestion. Fordham may be another safety option to consider. Your stats look really good, BTW.

@BatesParent2019 why would an Ivy be a better application for this student? OOS selection rates at UVA are still almost two times what those Ivies are.
