If you can’t afford out of state tuitions (I am presuming you mean at the UCs?), how will you afford the private universities? They cost as much (or more) than the UCs OOS. Do you qualify for financial aid?

Sample per-year costs, California private universities:

2009-2010 costs for attending Occidental College:
Tuition $ 37,970
Room and board $ 10,780
Required fees $ 952
Books and supplies $ 1,054
Local Transportation $ 807
Misc./Personal Expenses $ 1,397
TOTAL $ 52,960

Pepperdine: **$51,450 **<a href=“http://seaver.pepperdine.edu/financialassistance/content/budget-cost-0910.pdf[/url] ”>http://seaver.pepperdine.edu/financialassistance/content/budget-cost-0910.pdf
;

Pitzer: **$50,770 **[Pitzer College - Financial Aid - Costs](<a href=“http://www.pitzer.edu/admission/financial_aid/costs.asp]Pitzer ”>http://www.pitzer.edu/admission/financial_aid/costs.asp )

my family income is less than 30,000. does it help for financial aid??

That helps with need but not necessarily with getting funding. You could look at schools that fulfill all need but frankly your stats are not high enough for those schools. What are your safety schools?
