Im going to U of I for DGS(Division of General Studies), but I intend to apply to the Business major after freshman year. I would like to know what are some good Extracurricular activities or clubs I could join that would help my application to the school of business.

bump…anyone?

Oh. In my school we have DECA which is marketing club, we have a separate entrepreneurship class, we have a bunch of business classes like accounting and others.

Oh your talking about in college, haha I know nothing about college. In my above post I was talking about high school.

any business majors out there that want to help with this question? please help!

a database of RSOs are here: [Get Involved - Powered by CollegiateLink](http://illinois.collegiatelink.net)

Search by Organizations>Browse by: Advanced>Name: Business> Category: Academic/Pre-professional

That site is relatively new, so there’s not a lot of useful information on there. You can compile a list of ones that sound interesting though and get more information directly from them on quad day.

There is Quad day where you get to sign up for all kinds of ECs at UIUC campus. Look for clubs that are Business Clubs but does accept non business majors. I just transferred and got into CoB. I think the main tip is to have a lot of leadership roles in the clubs you choose and really emphasize it on your resume and essay.

let me know if you need any other info.
