What are some HS/Undergrad classes that can help make Law School easier to handle?

I am a High School student and know that in order to do well in Law school, it is important to take the right classes to prepare yourself with the skills you will need. Any suggestions on which classes you think are/were helpful through your own experience? (such as writing or business classes etc.)

It’s really not all that important to take “the right classes.” I’d take some writing courses, an intro to logic course, and major in something that requires some critical thinking. That will help a bit, but undergrad just isn’t like law school.

From the ABA, [Pre-Law | Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar](http://www.americanbar.org/groups/legal_education/resources/pre_law.html)

Some of the types of knowledge that would maximize your ability to benefit from a legal education include:

A broad understanding of history, including the various factors (social, political, economic, and cultural) that have influenced the development of our society in the United States.

A fundamental understanding of political thought and of the contemporary American political system.

Some basic mathematical and financial skills, such as an understanding of basic pre-calculus mathematics and an ability to analyze financial data.

A basic understanding of human behavior and social interaction.

An understanding of diverse cultures within and beyond the United States, of international institutions and issues, of world events, and of the increasing interdependence of the nations and communities within our world.

Write as much as you can. An editing or english minor would provide a good base set of skills for that. Critical thinking and being able to real difficult documents is important as well. Philosophy and political science classes fit the bill. No undergrad classes can really mimic the law school experience.
