The obvious, and only, career choice for philosophers (who want to remain in philosophy) is academia. How about in ethics? On wikipedia (I know this is a bad source, so I'm asking if thre is any truth to it) it says that jobs in ethics are well-paid and the prospects are "good." Is this true? I also read that hospitals and consulting firms may hire bioethicist, business ethicists, etc. And what about all the new ethics centers that are being formed?

Long question short, what are the potential career paths for a moral philosopher who wants to remain in the field of ethics? Is it the same as general philosophers (i.e. academia), or are there more options?

You don’t have to be limited to pure philosophy in your job hunt, you can emphasis the critical thinking skills your degree fostered and apply them to a variety of fields.
