Jobs with no math that pay well and are open to many, hmmmm…“Now on the main stage, Nina. Let’s hear it for Nina.”

You’re right I guess I should really do my research and figure out what’s really right for me.

Oh and by the way I actually do know the job opportunities I can get with international relations. I can become an archivist, demographer, diplomat, foreign affairs analyst, foreign affairs specialist, foreign Service Officer, immigration Specialist, intelligence specialist, language specialist, market research analyst, I can go into journalism and much more. I just didn’t feel like writing it all out.

“Plastics.”

You pass this off as something you already knew, that you “didn’t feel like writing out”, as if these are your own words & thoughts. They, of course, are not. You copied them word for word off the about.com page at [Careers in International Relations](International Relations Major - What to Do With Your Degree)

Doing that here is merely pathetic.

Passing someone else’s words off as your own in college is called plagiarism. Colleges run essays thru software to check for that, so when you pull this in college on your reports and papers you be quickly caught and will fail the class. At most colleges plagiarism is also subject to disciplinary action and you may very well find yourself suspended from the college or expelled.

Just so you know.

Let’s all ease off a bit here; this thread is getting a little more testy than most (and I can be a testy guy myself!). OP’s original question was not uncommon or particularly out of line. It indicated a need for some guidance, which is good - that’s why a lot of us come to post here. Better yet, after some tough responses OP didn’t crawl away quietly, she went and looked up some information. Was it copied and pasted? Yeah. Does that matter? I personally don’t think so, not here. Does OP deserve repeated castigation? No, definitely not.

Good advice in this thread so far, but let’s work together to make it come across with a bit more caring. I promise to check my own snark in future postings too.

Wow. To Mike Mac and others who have been responding harshly: You are pathetic. Do you honestly have nothing better to do than belittle and be pompous creeps? Get off this forum. To Rona: You don’t need to apologize, you’re just asking questions.

Thank you Lynxinsider and KoovyG
But its okay I’m not worried about them. I’ll just keep doing my research and figuring out what it is that’s truly right for me. I’m young and I guess I’m still going through that self discovery stage. I’m just really apprehensive about choosing a major because I hear so many stories about people with degrees who are unable to find jobs. I just don’t want to be one of those people. I came here in hopes of receiving guidance from the people who’ve been through it, that’s all. Sorry if I may of come off naive. Anyway, thanks everyone for your inputs.
