What are some matches for me?

I'm looking for another match, but I feel like all the colleges that I like seem to be reaches. I really like NYU, CMU, and Macalester, so I'm looking for something similar.

My Stats:
Weighted GPA: 4.0
Unweighted GPA: 4.03
Class Rank: 1/110ish

Advanced Classes (Taken+Will Take):
-Honors Maths (4 years)
-AP Calculus
-Honors Physics
-College English (2 years), Biology
-4 years of Spanish

SAT:
Superscore: 2130 (650 CR, 770 M, 710 W)

ACT:
April: 31 (36 E, 34 M, 28 R, 27 S, 10W)
June: 32 (35 E, 32 M, 32 R, 28 S, 10W)
Superscore: 33

ECS:
-Speech Team Member/Secretary
-Knowledge Bowl
-LifeSmarts
-One Act Play Participant
-Band
-Musical/Theatre
-Target
-Science Club-President
-National Honor Society-Vice President
-Student Ambassador

Volunteer Work:
-200+ Hours Jr. High Knowledge Bowl Coach
-50+ Hours volunteering with Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, etc
-Tutor (1 year)

I think I'm also considered First Generation.

What I'm looking for:
-Strong premed program
-Urban location
-Need-Blind (and meets full demonstrated need)
-East Coast, West Coast, Chicago, or Minneapolis-St. Paul
-Size isn't of my biggest concern
-Moderate or Liberal feel

Debate/Forensics and IM Tennis would also be of interest.

not urban, but look at Davidson for pre=med
emory
tufts
u of chicago

Agree with Davidson (it will be a bit of a reach for you) - 20 miles north of Charlotte, meets full demonstrated need, Med (almost all grad schools) schools love their students. Great student centered school with fully involved faculty and the support of an entire town. One of those schools that few students and parents (but every grad school) has heard of…

Thank you.

Primarily, I’m looking for matches/safeties though.

how can you have 4.03 uw/4.0w gpa?

It should be switched around, my mistake.

How would you THINK your considered first gen? Is U Minn on your list? Great college at a pretty good price for in-state students.

If you’re from MN, you might try Gustavus as a match/safety. I’m not sure what their average stats are exactly, but they are well known around here as having an excellent speech/forensics program.

Well, my mother went to a vocational school. So, I wasn’t sure if that counted or not.

Thanks! I have looked at Gustavus and U of Minn; Gustavus is a bit too close for me, but I’m also looking at St. Olaf.

I think the 3 schools you list are just about safe, but 2 of the 3 (don’t know about aid at Mac) will not meet your financial needs. You need to study the list of schools that meet need. You qualify for many and would have a shot at many more with a bit higher scores. Urban will be tough though.

I think I’ve eliminated CMU since it requires SAT Subject Tests and will probably not be my best financial choice. So, I’ve added Chicago, Pitzer, Pomona, and St. Olaf to my list.
