What are some outstanding non STEM awards?

Science Fair, AMC/AIME, and Science/Math Olympiads are great, but they only appeal to some applicants. They are commonly listed as being very impressive for Ivy/top school admissions. Are there any well respected competitions that are great for students who are more humanities oriented?

Other than TASP, I can't think of any Humanities awards/programs/contests that are very competitive and would stand out on an Application. The only other thing that comes to mind is the National French/Latin/Spanish exam, but I doubt my bronze medal on Le Grand Concours (national French exam) will be at all impressive compared to ranking highly in any of the math/science contests.

It's probably too late for me to actually compete in any of these and list it on my application (rising senior), but I am still curious, and this could help younger students. I'm actually pretty split between whether I like STEM or Humanities more, but I think I would have been a bit more successful in Humanities competitions. I really wish I had known about the Olympiads and AMC/AIME when I was a Freshman so I could have studied for them, but since I didn't find out about them until Junior year, I didn't have much of a chance of doing well. As for Science Fair, I'm just not cut out for it (I have the "project completion skills" of a hyperactive 7 year old).

I know of some for students involved in visual arts, beyond that I am sure there are things but I can’t speak to them. Oh and also NACLO if you like linguistics…
