Like the title says, what are some pros/cons about UNCW that I wouldn’t find online (I’ve looked at Virtual Tours, their website, and many third party college information websites)?
In all seriousness, the school’s area would appear to be under relatively high risk for hurricanes or, with an elevation near sea level, simply flooding in general.

The school has a fairly consistent policy of evacuating the dorms. From the viewpoint of the surrounding community, the primary reason is that IF something happens, the school staff will have their own problems to deal with. Having a few thousand students on campus with no food, power, maintenance, food (did I say food already?) is not a good situation. But it’s a catch 22, the dorms on campus are probably some of the best buildings in town to ride a major storm. FWIW, there is not currently an evacuation order in place for New Hanover county (i.e. Wilmington), but there is one for the neighboring county to the south, as well as some barrier islands in the region.
Pro: because there are lots of TV studios, students can work as extras on TV Shows! 
Pro: being ten minutes from the beach is SO worth not having a football team
