What are some strategies for going from a 31 to a 33?

I'm looking at my ACT results from June and I'm trying to figure out where to improve.

English: 34
Math: 32
Reading: 31
Science: 28
Writing: 09

Truth be told, when I took it back in June, I walked out and felt like I failed but I was surprised by how well I improved (first time I took it, I received a 26. I don't know what I did in February but it was awful.). Math is never my strong suit here or on the SAT but Reading and Science go so fast that I may just concentrate on that.

Anyone have any stories of their awesome score jumps to help encourage me? =)

Make sure you have your trig, log, and conics, etc for the last 15 or so questions on the math section. Getting those right can get you a 34 on Math. Make sure your science strategy is right and see if you can finish Science with about 5 minutes left. But yeah see if you can get Reading to 36. English is the easiest to get a 36 but every question in the Reading question is EXTREMELY easy, you just need time. Focusing on getting your Reading to 36 could be very beneficial to your score.

I went from a 28 sophmore year to a 34 in April. I believe that learning trig helped, plus I micro managed every section obsessively. I gave myself a set amount of time on each 15 question reading section. The same for the reading. For the reading I decided to do the passages out of order. I read the entire passage without looking at the questions. For the science I just look at the question and then tackle it. I do not read any of the information about the experiment unless it specifies it in the question. But I stress that the most important thing for me was stress. on my first test i was so nervous i got the runs. It was bad. so i recieved a 28. the next time i took the test I was calm cool and collected. albeit very anal about the time i took. So my advice is to develop a method that works for you, and most importantly be confident. good luck.
