Short story cut short: I have awful high school grades and never took the SAT, but in my CC I'm doing outstanding. What top schools do not require high school? records

If you went, they’ll want the records. One or two good semesters of college will help a little, but you might be better off doing two full years before trying to transfer. Depending on the schools you choose, you might not need the SAT. Great scores could help, but very low scores could make transfers more problematic, so take them only if you can predict very high scores (for very top schools, at least 700 on each section). Ditto for SAT subject tests. If you need financial aid, double the emphasis here!

UCs do not if you live Cali you have a good shot. U Michigan Ann doesn’t require SAT/ACT but want high school transcripts. USC requires high school transcript and secondary school report but not SAT/ACT scores. American, GWU, and Northeastern require nothing from high school including SAT/ACT scores.

^Be sure to check the fine print and be sure you qualify. I only checked one of the schools listed, GWU:

[Transfer Admission | Apply to GW | Undergraduate Admissions | Apply | The George Washington University](http://www.gwu.edu/apply/undergraduateadmissions/applytogw/transferadmission)

My child’s situation (he has two years of undergraduate work completed at a state university) is such that with a transfer possible, the “receiving school” is questioning a class from high school even though he has successfully completed two years of college classes with a high GPA and is moving toward his four-year undergraduate degree. It seems as though each school handles things a bit differently and you really need to talk with someone 1:1 to find out what your receiving school requires.

I live in Cali, and for UCs as long as I’m over 60 units I don’t need high school transcripts or SAT scores. For USC, I believe over 24 units.

Sorry Entomom I forgot clarify some of those. U Mich Ann Arbor doesn’t want SAT/ACT is you haven’t taken them in high school. Also Northeastern, GWU, and American need a certain amount of credits from you to be exempted from high school transcripts and ACT/SAT scores.

Bump homie ds triple ogs!!

why don’t you look up the colleges you want to go to and look at their requirements?
