What are some unique elements of Emory that you can only find there?

I think I might be interested in applying but I'm not sure yet. I've researched the school and nothing seems to be really "special" about it. Are there any unique elements that I'm overlooking? I know it's a fabulous school.. I'm talking about elements other than that. I want to major in maybe political science and I plan on going to law school.

Thanks!

I’m just an applicant and I’m not sure what you’re looking for, but what comes to mind offhand…

Location: Emory’s location, near Atlanta (a major, racially diverse, southern city), is much different than that of the rest of the US News Top 20. That means better weather, a unique experience, and proximity to many of the landmarks of the civil rights movement (that might be of interest for a political science major). Atlanta is the capital of Georgia, so there might also be other political opportunities that wouldn’t be available at schools not near their state’s capitals.
Course Schedule: I haven’t heard of many schools like Emory, where most courses are 4 credit hours… making a full load 4 core classes +/- PE, instead of 5 core courses +/- a PE. I’d imagine this would mean that you’d be able to focus more on those classes than spreading yourself over five courses.
People: Jimmy Carter and the Dalai Lama are professors at Emory… not sure if this is what you’re looking for.

There’s also a four-year BA/MA program in political science and a math/political science joint major.
