im so nervious about getting in. i have three years experience at working at a hospital pharmacy but i dont kno if my experience will get me in. my grades arent that good. im only top 20% of my class, 3.3/4.0 GPA, instate, nd i have 1970 SAT. is that good , okay, or relaly bad for pharm?

You should have at least 2000 for pharm and top 10%. Last I heard acceptance rate is was 8%.

8%.. are you serious? that's worse than Ivies...

8%??? wow thats not cool lol

Not that many people apply to Rutgers Pharmacy compared to Ivies, and many of those that do apply are downright inept. The standards are high because the curriculum's hard, and it would look bad if the program had a lot of drop-outs. Only around 400 students get accepted to fit an ideal class size of 200-300.

A girl in my AP Chem class got accepted into Rutgers Pharm with a 1170 SATs.... (CR + Math) there goes your credibility...

Maybe her math was at least a 700? I don't know. They can't all be winners. All the people I personally know who got into pharm have 2100+ SAT, myself included.

Nope, her math and verbal hovered around high 500s/low 600s..

I can only assume that girl had some good connections...
Either that or I'm just peeved I can't be proud of that 8% stats anymore...x_x

Nope, she is just a normal girl.... . .maybe she just got lucky.. she does have a fair amount of volunteering.. but not much leadership.

i think it depends on a lot of factors like whether or not ur in state, your race, class rank, gpa, course rigor, sat.
if you do bad on one part try and balance it out with another part.

i say the acceptance rate is about 15-20 percent. i got in with an 1830 sat, 4.2/4.5 gpa, all of my classes were honors and junior year i took ap bio, senior year i took ap calc ab, ap english language and ap chem and in state

hey, just bumping this thread.
is it possible to get in with only a 3.6 weighted gpa (3.3 uw)
and 2250 sats?
i took 7 aps and 9 honors.
i’m in-state if that helps.

About 3600 apply, about 800 accepted, aim for graduating class of 220.
