Do you have any experience with the Key Communities for Freshmen? What are your thoughts?
Yes. Son is finishing up key service community this year. He’s made some great friends and had some rewarding experiences his favorite working on a local ranch. It’s kind of like an extra layer of security and oversight especially for parents who are thousands of miles away. Great also for introverted kids as there are required events where you can’t help but get to know people and moving in early was a huge plus and not as stressful as when the hordes of students move in!
Yes there are some kids who don’t take it seriously and there are troublemakers but most get weeded out or dealt with.
