What are the best Algebra textbooks for college students?

My Elementary Algebra class does not have a textbook. We do everything online in EnableMath. Unfortunately, I spend quite a bit of time wishing I had a textbook so I could look stuff up or go find a quiet corner to study out of a book. I think it would help me a bit if I picked out a textbook or two. I'm currently looking at Blitzer's Introductory Algebra and Blitzer's Intermediate Algebra, fifth edition (I'd buy both of them), but I'd like to hear if anyone has had a super good Algebra textbook that they'd recommend.

Look into text books by Margaret Lial, highly recommended for self study. Be sure you find the right series for the level of your class though. Many older editions available online.

Have you asked the instructor or class coordinator for a textbook recommendation?

I talked to a professor who teaches the same math class with the same software, and she says the two Blitzer books I’m looking at are the best option. They are the most used textbooks in the school library’s course reserves (I work there, so I’ve seen this first hand), so there is probably something to that. The newest editions are too much money, but the previous editions should be good enough.
