What are the best colleges for Gender Studies?

I'm hoping to major in Gender Studies, and maybe go on to get a PhD.

Currently leaning towards small liberal arts schools; really, really don't want to go to a big state school.

What are the best colleges in this field?

I know that SUNY New Paltz has a Women’s studies major. It’s a small liberal arts state school.

I think it’d probably be hard to beat Bryn Mawr or My. Holyoke in that department. Macalaster has a program that my friend thoroughly enjoys, and as a bonus, it’s co-ed.

It’s a pity you ruled out public universities, because Michigan is the best for gender studies.

Wesleyan (arguably the best LAC for this)
