What are the best SAT I books?

i personally think the collegeboard blue book is the best prep book

you should get the blue book, but also practice from the barrons book too. you can never get too much practice ;]

yeah thats true, it sucks that they cost like 30$ each thou, lol.

On amazon.com, blue book's $14...

Oh, sweet, didnt know that. The Barron's book cost me 30$ from Barnes and Noble, I just assumed they were similarly priced.

Did you get the one with the CD? That one's much more expensive...

Yeah, I did. I was kinda in a hurry today and I guess I didn't see the ones with no CD.

Ah, then $30 is reasonable :)

Amazon.com: The Official SAT Study Guide: The College Board: Books

This is the BB right? Took me a couple minutes to realize that it wasn't literally called the blue book, haha.

Haha, yup, that's the almighty blue book. BUY IT if you're serious about doing well :)

BLUE BOOK is a must!!

Ugh, just finished with my first practice SAT. Only 13 more to go till December 6!

I totally went up 120 points in CR on this one thou..(but down 170 points in math, lol)

Make sure you review why you missed each problem so you don't make the same mistake over and over again. That really helps

I somewhat illegaly acquired a vocabulary list from one of the best books there is... I took the SAT yesterday, and there were SO many hits. I was psyched that I had studied that list... so if anyone's interested in it, message me your email, and I'll forward you the word document.

(don't worry about the legality - what I did wasn't really illegal, it was just sort of cheating).

for practice tests the official SAT study guide by the college board is great because it has real questions but since its made by the test makers the strategies are crap because they dont want to give away their secrets. I'd use that for practice tests and barrons for test strategies.

There are no secrets; the blue book gives you all the formulas/concepts you need. It's up to you to apply them.
