<p>Take your son with you if you go away to school. Your classes will be during the day while he is in school.</p>
<p>All the SUNYs have good childhood ed and where you graduate will not affect where you get a job offer. </p>
<p>Cost of living is likely low (low rent) in most of the SUNY areas off Long Island. Look at areas with decent public schools for your son. </p>
<p>You can look at privates on LI but make sure they give you $$$. Hofstra seems to give lots of merit. St. Joe’s in Patchogue is very popular as is Five Towns College in Dix Hills. SUNY Farmingdale and Old Westbury are likely easy to get into. </p>
<p>Elementary Ed pays much better than Early Childhood. I’d look into that option!!! You need a district to pay you well and have good benefits.</p>
<p>I just graduated from Suny cortland this May i have a BA in spanish. My plan is to do my grad work there in education its a great school you just have to get to know the people and the network also most of the people in the education department are great yet depending what you plan to study u need for a B.A a 3.0 or higher but they will work with you. it takes many steps to get there. i myself transfered there my sophomore year. hope everything works out.</p>
