What are the best/worst things about your school?

New York University (NYU)

Pros: NYC, gorgeous girls, great academics/reputation, #1 dream school (take that, Harvard!), bathrooms in every dorm room, no campus, Greek life isn’t overwhelming, diverse student body

Cons: Living expenses, rich kids, hipsters who complain about how much life sucks, Take Back NYU, arrogant Sternies, playing second fiddle to Columbia despite being bigger, badder, and more stylish ;)

quote… Great academic program overall …

[/quote]

Really? 130 in the rankings, barely avoiding the third tier status, a peer assessment score of 2.7… OK, whatever.

My school doesn’t have a football team either. But we made it to the NCAA men’s basketball tournament (and lost in the first round) this past NCAA season…really was exciting for once.

I like my school. I like the atmosphere and campus. We could use a football team though and I think more social events on campus.

Good: Very diverse, great business program, large lectures (200+ people) LOVE IT!

the University of Texas at Austin

Best

Overall academic excellence
Huge numbers of majors available
Nearly all departments are highly ranked
Fantastic sports program
Austin

Worst
Parking
Lack of four seasons (I miss that a lot)

University of California; Riverside

Pro: great weather ,sunny, hot girls, everything is new, orange farm on campus. Close to Vegas,LA,SD,OC well everything to summarize.Laid back.New Med School.

Cons: the college has a 2 mile buffer soon of when you leave the buffer zone you’re in the ghetto. Full of stupid UCLA/CAL rejects that never shut up about how they dont belong here and want to leave in two years and dont take the opportunities that are giving to them. The weather, it gets hot.

Yale

Best:
the students are awesome, crazy smart, and a lot of fun
the parties are a lot of fun, at least to me
there’s a great variety of things to do on campus
residential college system is great and the housing is phenomenal
professors are amazing
Lots of money to go around to student groups and such
Great name
Not too, too many hipsters

Worst:

Our football team kind of sucks
A lot of rich, out-of-touch kids that eventually learn but are annoying at first
New Haven is kind of scary sometimes
It rains a lot

BU

Best: Right in the heart of Boston, very diverse and friendly student body, great for sciences and has a really strong pre-med program

Worst: Lacks a traditional college campus, cost

Stevens Institute of Technology

Best: perfect view of Manhattan skyline from campus/close to NYC, good job placement, tons of nerdy type students, small school, good with giving out merit scholarships

Worst: non-engineering majors more neglected, social life often revolves around Greek life, expensive, the biztech majors, majority of professors don’t speak wonderful english

Geez, no mention of our national champion hockey team?

Binghamton University:

BEST: Well regarded in the SUNY system, very green campus, campus blue light system (safety on campus is excellent), the nature preserve/view from mountainview, I think the campus is beautiful, good professors, diverse student body (maybe not so much geographically), and the active hillel (jewish student union).

WORST: No football team, not a lot of geographical diversity, the weather! (it snowed before halloween), the townies, some of the surrounding area can mildly sketchy…

Wow, I don’t even know how I forgot about that. Lol, that’s obviously one of our biggest pros. :]

School - University of Southern California (the real SC :p)

Pros: Amazing weather, gorgeous girls, solid frat parties, great social life, Los Angeles in general, classes and teachers I have liked a lot (except for 140 -.-), being a trojan, FOOOTBALLLLL, no winter. evar, crazy diversity, local homeless are tight as hell

Cons: Helicopters searching over head for criminals/ shutting down the Row, TERRIBLE LA DRIVERS, have to avoid getting stabbed sometimes.

I gotta love SC.

NYU

Best: location, location, location, diversity, academics, reputation, artsy/creative student boy, did I mention it’s location (NYC=heartbeat of the world)

Worst: Financial Aid.

Is a cheating athletic program a pro?

:), enjoy Boston, I’ve got no complaints about SC.

I love all the hatin Trojans get, after all whoever said imitation is the sincerest form of flattery is obviously wrong, it’s obviously envy.

Which one are you though? Coaching envy? We-play-better-than-you envy? Trophy Envy?

Don’t worry BU you’ll get another shot soon enough…you know…when our school is gone ;)

University of Miami

Pros: Warm weather, gorgeous campus, football, gorgeous student body, good academics, lots to do, safe campus, diversity, beach

Cons: humid, hurricanes, snobby student body, traffic, no parking

SUNY New Paltz

Pros: cool, quirky and down to earth student body, small classes, good staff support, community feeling, funky and fun college town within walking distance, lots of restaurants, mountains, hiking, fall foliage, 1 1/2 hours drive to NYC, diversity, bars

Cons: cold and snowy winters, not a lot to do in winter if you’re not a skier/snowboarder, no on campus housing for transfers, dining hall food

I no longer go to BU, so your entire post is irrelevant. BU doesnt even have a football team, so your post is not only irrelevant, but it makes no sense whatsoever. Regardless, everyone knows L.A. does have a pro football team–at USC. (Pro meaning the players get paid and whatnot). Same with the basketball team. No envy here. Even if my school doesnt win very often, at least we do it the right way.

Texas State has the highest rate of venereal disease-STDs and STIs-in the country.

Knowing this information since before I attended, I refrained from hooking up. So, at least for me, not feeling the warmth of a women’s flesh at this college is bearable, but for overall a profound travesty.

Because I obviously follow you and BU when I’m at SC because our “pro” sports are so boring and “unfair” that I stay on college confidential and track potential USC haters. Really.

But let’s take one of those infamous Temple Timeouts and stop ruining this guys thread. You can continue with the snide remarks if you want I guess, but you really are like number 2,000. Soon we should just start handing out tickets with forms to fill out:

“Do you hate USC because”:

A. POSSIBLE Ranking Rigging
B. T3h c0rruptz Athletics!!!111!11
C. The weather isn’t realistic (someone raised this as a legitimate bash to me).

etc.
