My chances for the following colleges?

Harvard
Princeton
Cornell
Columbia
Johns Hopkins
Haverford
Swarthmore
Upenn
Uchicago

thanks

You look like a typical applicant. To me, it doesn't seem like anything is standing out from your stats. It will depend on your luck.

Harvard/Princeton= If you're extremely lucky
Columbia= Small chance
Upenn= Likely
Others (except for Swarthmore, I don't know much about LACs)=Better chance.

hmm...good chance id say at all

What is an AIME semifinalist?

^ AMC is the american math competition

AIME is taken when you pass the AMC

I know that. There is no such thing as a semifinalist for the AIME. Only a qualifier and a winner.

^ i think he means qualifier

People on this site vastly underestimate the value that going to a great high school gives you.

This guy went to one of the top high schools in NYC and is top 5 in rank. Not only that but he has great SAT scores + good ECs.

In everywhere.

In everywhere? Please, are you serious? I'd say he'd be lucky to get in at one of his top three schools (Harvard, Princeton, and Cornell).

He's a typical applicant with typical scores--he just doesn't stand out, which is what you need to do to get in at Harvard & co.

By the way, I just made this board to see how accurate many of the posters are in terms of chances (though i know that most of the chances should be taken with a grain of salt)

I WAS accepted into harvard in 2006, I am now a sophmore there.

You suck.
Where else did you get into.

haha, that's great!!

haha darthvader is my brother XD

he only applied to harvard EA

^ his guidance counselor (who was previous the adcom for HARVARD itself) said tht harvard was a slight reach for him, and at one point, even put columbia down as his safety (which he didnt believe since no ivy is considered a safety - but u get the idea)

hahahaha tricky person nice job though!! LOL
