What are the chances for me to attend UC Berkley

Hello! I am currently a junior in high school, but my years in high school have been quite wonky. During sophomore year I left my tradition high school (due to mental issues) and joined an independent study program. Since then, I have advanced to senior classes such as Economics, US Government, and English IV. I also take classes at a local CC and I am shooting to get an associate in economics and one in mathematics before I graduate. I have a part time job and do volunteer work through americorps. (I know it’s a lot, I just like to busy myself) I have yet to take the SAT and ACT but I’m due to take them this spring.

I don’t have a counselor so I’m unsure on a lot of things. My dream school is UC Berkley, but is it possible for me to go there? What credentials do I need?

Thank you so much for your help

Take a look at the Freshman Profile so you know what GPA and test scores are needed to get in.

Calculate your UC GPA at the end of Junior year. https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

Look at last years decision thread to give you an idea of what kind of applicants are accepted or rejected:

Lastly, remove “dream school” from your vocabulary. Your dream school is where you are accepted and will excel.

Good luck and come back and update once you have your GPA/Test scores etc…

Apply to a wide range of schools and always have a safety or two. Know your school budget and stick to it.

Are you a CA resident?

Yes, I am a CA resident. I live in a single parent household as well

That should be firstly.

And it should be tattooed inside the eyelids of every College Confidential poster.
