My son has applied for Pre dental program on last deadline day Nov 15th.
His SAT reading+ writing is 1340 and requirement is 1350 by UOP
His SAT writing is 640 and requirement is 630
His ACT IS 29 and requirement is 31 for 5 yr program
His GPA IS 4.5
He is top 2% of the class
Volunteering hrs 100 at emergency room in the hospital
What are his chances of getting into 2+3 yrs DDS Accelerated program?
When do we get the letter of acceptance?

He’s got a very good chance of getting in. The program is quite competitive though so it is important to have a viable back-up.

His chance of getting into 2+3 is unlikely; 4+3 might be a possibility. Almost all of the students who got accepted to 2+3 DDS Program this year, including myself, have over 2300 SAT and 3.90 UW GPA. Plus, UOP accepted a lot less people this year than any previous years for the DDS Program, so the competition is very high.
Do you think I have a chance to get in the 3+3 program? Your input is greatly appreciated. Also, how many were accepted for the entire dental advantage program
GPA - 3.9 UW
GPA - 4.55W
SAT - 2020 (taking another one this Oct)
ACT - 33
SAT CHEM - 720
Varsity Captain
President of Rotary club
Honor Society
California Scholarship Federation
National Merit Commendation
AP Scholar
over 200 volunteer hours (hospital, library, community, etc)
top 2% class of 650
You’re definitely a great applicant. If not, overqualified. You can get in got the acceptance to the 2+3 program today
