I recently got a scholarship offer from a state university which basically would cover all four years of college. On the other hand, I also got my acceptance letter from Brandeis, which have a great neuroscience and a decent business program, both fields which I am interested in. I’m not certain how much Brandeis would cost, but it would definitely be many times the price of the state university. I certainly am having trouble deciding where I should go.
But all this may be a moot point, as my GPA has been slipping. At the time of application, I had a 4.5 weighted GPA due to a ridiculous number of AP/IB/honors classes I took. However, in the 2nd half of junior year, a few Bs and Cs dotted my otherwise A record. I made sure that my grades for 1st and 2nd quarter were As again, but my half my 3rd quarter grades are Bs and Cs. Even if I ensured that my 4th quarter grades are straight As, would Brandeis still consider retracting my admissions due to not maintaining an acceptable GPA? (I’m pretty sure the state university couldn’t care less).
Sigh, I’m still conflicted on what I should do.
