What are the chances of getting into good schools without solid ECs?

Is having no leadership position an immediate no during the admission process? What about having very little community service hours? I know that competitive schools seek leadership in a prospective students, I am guessing that means that they don't want people who don't have leadership positions.

I made a mistake of not running for anything over three years and not dedicating time for community service, but does that equal rejection?

I am completely freaking out
Somebody HELPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, neither of those make you an automatic reject. While leadership positions often show promise, they aren't required. There are many people, even here on CC, who got into top colleges and who didn't have leadership positions. Look up Anniushka, for example -- I believe she got into Stanford without "president of this" and "vice president of that."

Community service helps, though it is not a requirement by any means. It's a very small part of the admissions process.
