I've SIRed at New York University, and I'm picking my dorms right now.

The NYU Housing Portal has asked me to rank the freshman dorms by my preference. Here they are:
Third North
Founders
Hayden
Rubin
U Hall
Weinstein

What are the chances that I can get the dorm I prefer? What are some current students' experiences?

You’ll probably get more responses if you post this on the NYU thread.

Can someone link the NYU thread? I’m having trouble finding it.

Here is the link for the NYU forum: [New York University - College Confidential](New York University - College Confidential Forums)

You can also find it on the CC home page under Colleges and Universities— Alphabetic List of Colleges—N

Thanks for the pointer.

Well, U-Hall was an upperclassmen dorm up until now, and I have heard really great things about it. It is right in Union Square, which is awesome, and right next door to Palladium, which has an awesome gym and dining hall. It would be suite style, which means you have your own kitchen area and bathroom. Third North is also suite style and has a dining hall and computer lab in the basement. Third North is also a decent location, just a couple blocks from U-Hall. I believe the rest are all right in Washington Square, literally right next to NYU. I think I would personally go for U-Hall, but I don’t really know anything about the others. I don’t know if you have seen this website?
