<p>Hey all, I would like to be chanced for one school please.....</p>

<p>University of Pittsburgh Oakland campus</p>

<p>I've taken 5 AP courses throughout high school because my school doesn't offer that many. Probably about 8. Took all others honors except for math and english. Did not take any AP tests.</p>

<p>Class Rank: 34th out of 278 (somewhere around the high 200's)</p>

<p>Major: Undecided</p>

<p>SAT: 1670, 1250 CR and Math</p>

<p>GPA: 3.3 UW 4.0 W</p>

<p>EC's: Volunteer at an animal shelter starting in December every weekend.</p>

<p>Volunteer work at local hospital taking care of patients since October of last year.</p>

<p>Went on a mission trip with my church over the summer to Louisiana to fix up houses from the damage of hurricane Katrina for about 2 weeks. Had to fund raise to get our own money for the trip. Very expensive as we went with about 10 people.
Adopt-a-highway.</p>

<p>Founder of eagles club at my high school. We promote recycling trash at our school since we had no recycling bins at our school. Very successful now with over 40 members.</p>

<p>Did a mini-thon (similar to PSU's thon) for my senior focal project and donated the money directly to the Four Diamonds Fund.</p>

<p>Well I’ve gotten my acceptance to Upitt already and would say that you are a good candidate except your standardized tests a little low. Good ECs though I’d give you a 50-50 shot. Good luck!</p>

<p>NO, pitt only cares about stats although some say recommendation letter matters…Are you hispanic or African American by any chance ? If not, then its going to be very hard for you to get accepted to pitt with that GPA and SAT…</p>

<p>Really? That sucks, well looks like I’m not going to Pitt next fall. I’m Asian though not Hispanic or African American. Thanks for chance though. Should have studied harder for SATs</p>

<p>With that new SAT score, your chances have increased drastically.
I think it’s a target school for you right now, so with good recs and essays, you should get in with no problem. </p>
