Hey guys, I am an international student and I applied to LMU, hours before the deadline (March 15th). I applied as a business major and I heard that they check your grade in business calculus and thankfully I have an A. I am a transfer student with a cumulative GPA of 2.85 but I got a 3.6 my last semester and might get a 3.8 this semester. I am on a full scholarship as well. I used to play NCAA soccer at my current school; I mentioned this in my application because I assumed it might help. What do you guys think my chances are of getting in? The thing thats worrying me is that I keep hearing different things when it comes to GPA. Some say the 3.0 and above is mandatory for freshman but not specifically for transfer students and some say its for every type of student. I hope they take into consideration that my GPA is way better than what it used to be and that I’m improving.
@“Mahmoud Almousawi” Where did you hear that? In particular, there is no minimum GPA for LMU freshman admissions (see [here](http://admission.lmu.edu/requirementsdeadlines/freshman/)).
I understand now. Thanks for the clarification! Could you please give me your opinion on my situation and the chances of me getting accepted?
@“Mahmoud Almousawi” seems low due to the low cumulative GPA. However I don’t know if they will still consider your transfer applicantion, or discard it.
Can anyone else share their opinion please?
I’m afraid our opinion is meaningless since we don’t know your competition or the number of international transfer students accepted by this school. Good luck, though!
