What are the course requirements for the engineering school? Can you minor in finance at the engineering school?

What do you mean by course requirements…there are a lot and it really differs by major. As far as finance…if you’re not in operations research…you can minor in operations research or business in the AEM school.

so Cornell doesn’t have the basic requirements like MIT does for all majors?

not really. Maybe Calculus II, III, DiffEq, and LinAlg. Chemistry, Physics Mechanics, Physics Electricity and Magnetism, and for some majors Physics Optics and Waves.

Other than that, there aren’t very many “engineering wide” requirements.

The only classes that are universal are an intro to engineering course and an intro to CS course.

Also, everyone has to take 191 and 192 (calc II and III)…some majors require both diff. eq. and linear algebra…some just require linear algebra

Some majors require two semesters of chemistry and two of physics, some require one of chemistry and three of physics…

Its variable…
