Hello! I am new to this site, but it has always helped me. I have been admitted into Lyman Briggs, and received a packet of its majors. As it told me, I went online and read up on what they are and the required classes. I'm pretty sure I want to major in Bio, but I don't know what the difference is between these chem classes. I looked them up, but they just said "Chemistry". Duh! What are the differences between these sets of classes? If it helps, I'm doing pre med. Thanks!

Basically anything with an “LB” designation means it is offered only to Lyman Briggs students, in Holmes Hall. Typically the class size will be smaller than general university chem or bio classes, sometimes significantly smaller. If you are in Briggs you want to sign up for Briggs sections, for calc, stats etc… that is supposed to be the benefit of Briggs. My son is in Briggs so that is how I know, for more specific info you can email an adviser they are really helpful.
