I was just curious as to what the least competitive majors were at UCD and UCI. I'm not entirely sure if UCI looks at selected majors while making at admissions decisions but i think UCD does. So once again, what are the easiest majors to get into at UCD and UCI and how competitive are they really?

You may want to check how difficult it is to change into your actual preferred major once enrolled.

well I assume that one of the major will be in the humanities department, which if true I don’t care too much if I must stick with it as it will make for a fairly solid pre-law major. Also I’ve heard/read that it is fairly easy to switch majors once one is admitted to the university

Go to each school’s web site and try searching for “change major [name of new major]” to see what kind of college GPA or other criteria are needed, if any.

Pre-law students can do any major. Here are some LSAT scores by major, although it may not be obvious whether that is due to selection effects or treatment effects of each major: http://www.potsdam.edu/academics/AAS/Phil/upload/LSAT-Scores-of-Majors.pdf

@ucbalumnus I know this thread is old, but I was just curious as to how you stumbled across that very helpful link?I actually intend to go to law school in the not so distant future
A web search of “LSAT scores by major” should be able to find that and similar lists.
