BUMP (10char)

i just got the refrigerator rental info, and it seems pretty expensive. i think that it would be cheaper to buy the fridge and microwave instead of renting for 205 a year. what do you guys think?

What about stuff for the bathroom? Do they give you a shower curtain? do you have to bring all the cleaners and whatnot, yourself?

yes. you're going to have to provide the rags and cleaning stuff.

As for the Fridge/Microwave thing--my mom doesn't want to move any heavy objects, so she thinks it's better to rent them! It's a psycho notion! I REFUSE to use MY money to pay for some USED appliances when I could just buy the stuff myself, ONCE, for the same price. so i recommend buying NEW and CLEAN stuff. :)

UGH.

Kmart will deliver items to your dorm. They sell mini-fridges and all that type of stuff and I'm pretty sure it is all on sale right now. But you might have to buy it at the actual store and have it sent. We got a flyer about it a while ago...

i didn't get the renting info yet. angry face but anyway, i'll probably end up doing that so i don't have to worry about moving it in and out and storing it over summer. but 205 a year does seem pretty expensive, i could buy a microwave for like 70-80$ here. although if you rent keep in mind you'd probably split the cost with your room/suitmates.

Your bound to forget tons of stuff so just bring things that you think you can't live without. Computer obviously but don't forget fun stuff like pictures, and other stuff to decorate your room/remind you of home. You can buy anything in the city so don't overpack if you can avoid it. Most importantly come ready to have fun.
