World?
US?
Spanish?
English 11,12?

Physics C, both parts

World I self studied and I"m almost sure I got a 4/5.
US was not difficult for me, but it is for many others.
English Language was not difficult for me, and was not difficult for most in my school. Historically we average a 4.1.
No word on Spanish or English Lit as I have not taken them yet.

My senior friends say that Physics C and Calc BC are the hardest classes for them, but both exams have generous curves.

LOL at Calc BC being the hardest. I heard that French’s curve was brutal.

Oh my gosh french IS brutal. If you get a 3 you’d be very lucky. Actually, pretty much all the foreign languages are really hard unless you’re fluent in them. But I think the Asian languages are easier cuz some colleges want a 5 in, for example, Chinese while a 3 in French.

Any language test, as others have said, has a harsh curve since one must compete with native speakers taking the test. The exception is Latin, but that’s supposedly difficult too.

This sounds obvious, but it depends on what your strengths are. I found English a breeze but struggled against and probably failed Calculus AB. Most people here find Calculus easy, though. Typically the harder ones I’ve heard about are Computer Science, Physics, and Chemistry (and I can confirm the last one).

Probably French if you’re not a native speaker. Hardest test + (extremely) harsh curve = sadism. Same goes for Spanish and German, but I don’t think those are as brutal as French.

I’ve heard that Physics C is pretty difficult, but the stats seem to contradict this. Then again, people who take it are mostly prospective scientists and mathematicians.

To me, APUSH test was a joke. That’s definitely not the hardest. I think the other histories are not any harder, but I didn’t take them.

English was somewhat difficult for me since I’m not an English person. But I’m confident that I got a 4 at least, so this can’t be a hard test. I didn’t even take an AP English class.

Chemistry was also a joke for me. I am sure I got a 5 on it unless I made careless errors on the free response. No way is this a hard AP.

I self-studied Calculus AB and I expect a 4. This is not a hard AP. I assume the same for BC.

I think Chemistry and Computer science are easy. APUSH is not that bad since it’s the most widely taken AP and has a pretty decent curve.

Foreign Language tests are pretty bad for non-natives, while French has THE worst curve of them all (if not for all AP tests–I think the economics tests have worse curves…).

Physics C is pretty difficult, though it has a pretty generous curve.

European History is difficult in the sense that it’s about 600 years of history you need to know in detail, and the curve isn’t all that nice.

In the same manner, Art History (though I’ve never taken it) is 3000 years (I think) of art history that you need to know in detail.

In the end, though, I think it depends on the student.

Out of the exams I have taken, AP European History.

Physics B all the way.

But I have not yet taken AP Physics C exams.

From the APs offered at my school, students seem to agree that Physics C is by far the most difficult, followed by Chemistry. I haven’t taken either of those, but my friends who have taken them say they are very difficult. I guess it just depends on what your strengths are.

HARDEST

English Lang
English Lit
Biology
Euro History
Physics C: E&M
United States History
Chemistry
Physics B
Physics C: Mech
Computer Science
Calculus BC

EASIEST

As you can see, this is biased against the humanities lol. But this is appropriate for someone who is a more quantitative learner.

Im a Soph and I toke AP World. Its not a very popular AP being as most school require all students to take World History as a Soph whether it be Standard, Honors, GT, or AP

French is the hardest without a doubt.

AP Euro = EASY! I got a 5 but I’m a history person.

Hardest? Stats, it straight up KILLED me, I didn’t know anything on that test and my score can most definitely be attributed to my major FAIL of a teacher:)

From what I heard Physics C - E & M and Latin. (past students from my school who matriculated to Ivies/Stanford)

How about Physics B?

I thought Physics B was really easy (especially this year) and that Euro was a *****. It really depends on the person.

I think it just depends on the test. I remember the 2008 test being extremely hard, especially in comparison to past ones that we’d practiced in class.
Plus…it honestly depends on the test taker. If you’re a math/science-y person, it’ll be a breeze. If you’re not…good luck :)

Okay, I thought French was a nightmare but still somehow ended up getting a 4…even having absolutely bombed the speaking portion. I took the test after taking IB French SL (which definitely covers different stuff than AP French does). My advice: use Barron’s to make sure that you know all the nitpicky grammar stuff and practice pratice practice the speaking.
