What are the kids like?

On Princeton review's web site, talking about CMU students, it says "Most are "hardworking, bright, ambitious," and shy. Reports one undergrad, "Students here would be considered very friendly if they weren't so reserved. You'll find that the person who sits next to you in lecture is always really nice if either of you ever overcomes your shyness enough to say hello."

This, along w/ more math oriented/less english oriented makes me feel like I'd fit in at CMU.

Anyone can confirm this info?

When I have visited and talked to students at CMU everyone was very nice. I did have to start the conversation though. The kids at CMU are very focused and bright. They know what they want to do and are passionate about it. That is why the quote from CMU "My heart is in the work" means so much to my S.

I answer that question in a couple of other posts. just look at them...i am quite tired of cuttin and pastin the same answer :)
