What are the most important aspects of UC addmissions?

I had thought that all UC's cared about were your gpa/sat stats, but I talked to a adcom at UCSB and she said that she judges the admission 50% on extracurricular activities. So that leads me to my question:

What are the most important aspects of UC addmissions?

Bump.......

my friend knew someone on the admissions of UC Davis this year and she said it was kind of like lottery. They'd put you into like a group with people around your GPA and SAT scores... then from there they'd get rid of some then look at your EC's and jobs, and see who has more... then look at your essays to see who is a better writer...

It really depends on the UC... they vary.

UCSB is GPA+SAT focused, but it definitely does take non-academic factors into account.

admissions only has 1 D

UC is mostly stats. but schools like Berkeley and LA do look at your extracurriculars, mostly leadership skills.
