You said three, but you mentioned two; what happen to the other one? I’m debating wether to transfer to UCSB as a sociology major or UCI as a criminology major. I need help, advice, hints, stories, experiences, etc.

Two of the three work at a comic book store (they both went to UCI). The other (I think she went to CSUSD) is in real estate.

The two who went to UCI had a good time with the major, but had no idea what to do with the degree. They wished they’d given it more thought. One of them is my good friend, and she’s talked about wanting to write (a novel), so perhaps her degree will come in handy for that. The other one wishes he’d chosen a more marketable major. I don’t think he has any particular goals, though, so I’m not sure how much a “more marketable” degree would have helped him.

I don’t know the girl who went to CSUSD very well (she a friend’s ex), but she didn’t do anything related to her major with her degree; she just used the fact that she had a college degree to get a job.

Whatever you choose, just make sure it’s something that you enjoy, so that it keeps your interest and you do well.

@CONFYCAT: Well Criminology is a subject that really interests me, but I don’t know what I want to do in terms of career. I just need lots of help.

@PATTY4SCHOOL: Well, considering that I’m a transfer student, I haven’t completed the sociology requirements. Also, I don’t know how hard it would be to change majors.
