<p>OP – $75k annual income would make HYPS almost full ride… that is, full tuition reimbursement plus about half of room/board… basically making the educational cost abotu $10k per year.</p>
<p>There was a thread here about three years ago about a Yale acceptee who enrolled full ride at Vanderbilt, engineering. This was about 2002 I gathered from the context. He wrote back from his highly coveted job at Google around 2007 saying that for him it had been the correct choice. That was before the Ivies became so generous with middle class family financial aid (NO LOAN, just cash policy). With Google’s explosive growth over that time, I would assume his 401k or profit sharing has probably made him quite a lot of money over these three years :)</p>
<p>Oh, I echo other posts regarding biz school undergrad… don’t be concerned with a trade degree (business) … the most prestigious firms hire econ and other degree holders just as much as they do degree holders out of undergrad biz colleges.</p>
