I am a senior in high school in Atlanta. I love Tulane University and I think it is my top school. I applied EA and my application was received October 4.

I have a 3.5 and 31 ACT

When do you think I will hear and what are my odds of being accepted?

No one can give you odds, admissions doesn’t work like that. But what can be said is you ACT is solidly within Tulane’s range and so is your GPA, if that is UW. If that is a weighted GPA, then it might be a little low. How many AP courses have you taken? What kinds of EC’s do you have? Did you answer the “Why Tulane” question on the app? Have you visited campus and/or attended a local event? The last two speak to demonstrated interest on your part. So as you can see, you haven’t given nearly enough information to even give you a qualified opinion.

Thanks for the reposes!
I think that is weighted, my school does not say so but they just give us a number. I only have 2 AP courses, but I go to an highly competitive high school where every student gets a 4/5 on the exams so the max number any student can take by graduation is 10. I am very involved in my school, I am on the board/president of 3 clubs, very involved in the community (Girl Scout for 13 years), Editor of the school newspaper, and a part of a state champion sports team. I did visit campus, attend the info session in my area, and write the “Why Tulane” essay.

@Catria It’s possible that’s the case, but I’m fairly certain in state students don’t have an advantage for Tulane admissions, and if they do, it’s very small. Only around 10% of students who go to Tulane are from LA.

Those are pretty average ECs. Nothing that really stands out, but they aren’t terrible. Do you think you would be able to pull up your ACT if you took it again?
