What an idiotic thread...

^^ qft. Completely pointless

Why do you even bother replying?
Seriously, dude, shut up.

brag much...

Technically, 100%.

Umm, how can you call this a brag thread when you go out of your way to point out that 'it wasn't EA' and 'it wasn't AA' that got you in. You are trying to say how you didn't have any advantages and still got into all these exceptional school - WE GET IT.

What are the odds you're "that kid" in school?

"Not really. I'm just confused by why I got waitlisted at one and accepted to all the others. If it was only 1 or 2 of the top, I can see why. Everyone I know who got into Yale/Princeton/Wharton/Stanford got into Harvard. Those who get into Harvard rarely if ever do the same."

What's to be confused about? There are only so many slots at these schools and they can't accept every one who is qualified. The. End.

This was surprising. My friend was accepted into Harvard and rejected by Georgetown. No legacy or anything to help with Harvard.

I'd say that you situation is not surprising since Harvard is the most selective of those schools...It's like if you gave someone the list and asked them which one you wouldn't get into they would say Harvard....therefore not surprising...

haha beefs I have no doubt the OP is "that kid" in school

i got into Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, MIT, CalTech, Penn, Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth, Cornell, Georgetown + full ride, Tufts + full ride, UChicago + full ride, Oxford, Cambridge, Williams + full ride, Amherst + full ride, Swarthmore + full ride, WashU + full ride, Johns Hopkins + full ride, the Cooper Union, Julliard, AND Deep Springs College....

....but I was only defer-accepted at Yale SCEA?!

WHATS GOING ON!!!!!

AND Deep Springs College

Ahaha!

What are the odds, indeed? (What are the odds the original poster ought to be fed to a tiger?)

weirder things have happened.
Friend got accepted to Columbia (attending), Johns hopkins, northwestern, etc. but not Georgetown (arts/sciences)-outright rejected. You never really know what to expect... you'd think this would be obvious by now

Maybe Harvard has Tufts Syndrome, and you are just too qualified to go to their school.

^^LOL...that's a good one. they knew you'd get into a better school and were scared if they accepted you, you'd pick to go to that other better school over them......whatever that might be.

jokes aside, what are your stats?

How depressing.
