Hey does anyone know the odds of a hispanic, female getting into California Institute of Technology? SAT= 710m, 670v, 620w; ACT=30. Any help would be great!

Not enough info.

how much infor do you need. extra curriculars = varsity cheerleading, national honor society, junior statesmen of america, ect

Though I'm not really good at giving chances you're also going to need rank [if applicable] if not decile, GPA, SAT II's, a more detailed list of EC's [with leadership if applicable], location, expected recommendation quality, etc.

SAT II us history= 750 math lvl II= 630
Junior class treasurer
Freshman class officer
Cheer captain 3 out of 4 years
national hispanic scholar
3.99999 GPA
class rank 3/560
live in Las Cruces, New Mexico

Your SAT II math is very low, as I am sure you know yourself. CalTech is a school that suggests to perspective students not to even apply until they can show they perform well in calculus (see the website). What the score shows is that in all probability you are not that good at it. My guess would be everyone who applies to CalTech has 800 on Math IIc and Physics (kind of minimum qualifications). I may be wrong, but not by a lot.

I took that math lvl II as a freshman and i am planning on retaking it now as a senior. i need only one more class at the local university to get a minor in math. considering that what are my odds?

Most people probably have around 760-800 math II. I think the median for students is around 780, but I could be wrong. Physics should be 750+ though. The curve on physics is harsher, so you don't NEED 780+ as much.

I haven't taken physics yet. should i be concerned?

I believe you need to take physics, bio, or chem sat II to even apply.

good to know. I was planning on taking the chemistry exam sometime this fall since that's where my strengths lie
