South Bend and its neighboring communities could arguably top the country's "least snotty" list. Every time I go back there I am impressed by two things: 1) how bad the weather is, and 2) how nice the people are.

It's not that snottiness wouldn't be tolerated; it simply wouldn't register, and thus, the purported snot would have no context for his/her behavior. Like using shells for currency; it wouldn't sell.

I'd be much more concerned about the weather.

What's wrong with the weather? I'd probably be used to it though. I live about 5 hours due east of Notre Dame. I just go on I-80 and I'm there.

some of these posts reminded me of a funny memory. A couple years ago I was going to my cousins house in Grand Forks, North Dakota (on the border of MN and North Dakota). On the way, there were 3 billboards that each had a different phrase. The first one said BE NICE, the second one said BE COURTEOUS, and the last one said BE KIND. Coming from Minnesota, even I thought it was funny they had billboards that told you to be nice.

LOL, I've seen those! There was also one that said "BE POLITE" I thought they were hilarious.

yeah, I think the I did see the BE POLITE billboard as well. I saw them on the highway between fargo and grand forks.

Hahaha, oh Fargo...
