What are the pros and cons of studying animation at SCAD?

<p>I hardly have any money in college savings and my parents think it would be pretty convenient to study animation at SCAD because I live in metro Atlanta.</p>

<p>I know it's a decent place to get a solid foundation in animation but I don't want to go there simply because it's in Georgia and I'd be relatively close to my family. Is SCAD really the right place to go?</p>
